In 1968, school teacher Jane Elliot\u00a0showed the connection between\u00a0degradation (and praise) and\u00a0achievement and behavior. In\u00a0her landmark study, students were marginalized based on their eye color, producing\u00a0shocking results in\u00a0the course of just one day.<\/p>\n
